The list of four finalists for the Hepworth Prize for Sculpture was announced this week. Selection for the award is made to British or UK based artists, regardless of age, who have made a significant contribution to the development of contemporary sculpture. Among them is our artist David Medalla.

David Medalla is an artist linked to land art, kinetic art, participatory art and life art. He edited SIGNALS magazine, a pioneer in art criticism. Among his international collaborations, the projects “Exploding Galaxy”, 1967, “The Mondrian Fan Club” with Adam Nankervis, 1994, and the London Biennale, 2000 stand out.

The show will take place at “The Hepworth Wakefield” from October 21, 2016 to January 17, 2017 and the winner will be announced in November of this year.
