Overview
Pablo Siquier (b. 1961, Buenos Aires) is one of the most important abstract artists of contemporary Argentina. A graduate of the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón, he was part of Grupo de la X before developing a personal visual language rooted in geometric abstraction.
In the 1980s, Siquier experimented with vibrant color compositions, later moving towards a monochromatic aesthetic defined by black-and-white patterns. His works—whether paintings, murals, or large-scale wall drawings—explore spatial tension, rhythm, and architectural structures inspired by urban landscapes.
He has participated in major international biennials including São Paulo, Mercosul, Havana, and Cuenca, and has held important solo shows at institutions such as Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid) and MACBA (Buenos Aires). His works are part of key museum collections in Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
