Campos Penetrables: Susy Gómez

Galeria Baró is pleased to announce the beginning of our representation of Susy Gómez, with her first exhibition Campos Penetrables in our gallery in Mallorca for the Nit de l'Art de Palma 2023.

The exhibition revolves around a series of performance actions that the artist conceptually groups in what is called Perform to Transform, a selection of photographs and an immersive video of large format, documented by his partner over the days in their house study between 2020-2023.

Campos Penetrables is an affirmation of vital postures that end up being embedded in the structure of the artistic. It is the celebration of love, a gesture of memory on a time-space living on the tempo of the heart. A celebration of the relationship between bodies, of you, of me, of us… of the plasticity of life, of its choreographies with the reciprocity of perspectives relational existential—the observer and the observed.

The title refers on the one hand to the location of the house-studio of the artist and her partner in Campos Mallorca, and on the other to the Penetrables of the Brazilian artist Helio Oiticica, whose main objective is to bring art and life together, together act as a transformation device providing an 'experience'.
