Sidival Fila (State of Paraná, Brazil, 1962) - artist and member of the Franciscan Order of Friars.

The artist seeks beauty through noble materials, discarded objects, and fabrics. In his works, he constructs a new narrative based on his search for meaning and spirituality, using the materials he comes across throughout his life: humble, recycled materials, fabrics, mainly old and used in liturgical celebrations, objects, pieces of plants.

Sidival's work aims to give a fresh essence to the materials found.
He gives back the form and value of existence. He is telling the story of each piece of material. Sidival Fila invites us to contemplate the plot of his work, mastered and shaped through his talent in carving.  Sidival Fila lives and works in Rome.
