Overview
Baró Galeria presents the opening of the exhibition "Less is More", a group show of artists from the gallery and its own collection, with clippings from individual exhibitions since the gallery's beginning in Barra Funda. The show remains on show until February 13, at Rua da Consolação, 3417 - Jardins. Artists such as Almandrade, Elena Damiani, Felippe Moraes, Iván Navarro, Lourival Cuquinha, Moris, Roberto Jacoby, Tatiana Trouvè, Tulio Pinto, and Zhanna Kadyrova are showing their work in small formats.
The Argentine Roberto Jacoby, precursor of conceptual art, presents Adaptación, a work-installation that dialogues with the incongruities and fears of the social collective.
Chilean Iván Navarro presents "Donde están", which portrays in an infinite game of lights the names of people who disappeared during the Pinochet dictatorship.
The Bahian Almandrade brings his visual poems in drawings from the 1970s.
Italian Tatiana Trouvè presents one of her works that incorporates architectural interventions in everyday objects. The English artist Toby Christian plays with forms that refer to letters in texts of his authorship, and draws them in concrete.
