Overview

Matemática Imperfeita, Felipe Barbosa

Described as both constructivist and dadaist, Felipe Barbosa's works are composed of collected materials, transformed and reorganized geometrically. Through this process, the artist presents a social reflection on contemporary consumer society, achieving a critique that is both humorous and aesthetically striking.

For his first solo exhibition at Baró, Barbosa brings together a selection of his latest works, once again engaging with the repetition of elements and the use of everyday objects. In his exploration of irony and absurdity, whether through a pool table, a ping-pong table, or a model train that never leaves the tunnel, Barbosa parodies established systems and perspectives, offering a new way of seeing and highlighting the imperfections of logic.
