Jiří Georg Dokoupil's 'Venetian Bubbles' is now on view at the Sale Monumentali of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, in Venice. The exhibition, curated by Reiner Opoku, presents a new set of sculptural works in glass by the artist, alongisde seven of the artists iconic Soap Bubble Paintings.
"The juxtaposition of Dokoupil's works of art with the Renaissance paintings of Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese in such a historically significant position, opens a dialogue between old and new masters, in which past and present can meet at the level of eyes and allows visitors to experience both, figurative and abstract art at its best ."
