Paris, April 24, 2025 — Artists Violeta Quispe and Ivana de Vivanco come together in the two-person exhibition Cuentos para no dormir, a compelling project that merges rich visual storytelling with themes of fear, memory, and cultural identity. The exhibition is curated by students from IESA Arts & Culture, in collaboration with the Embassy of Peru in France and the Fondation Brownstone.
Running from April 24 to May 3, the exhibition is led by a team of student curators under the guidance of Dayneris Brito Castillero and Milena Estrada. It provides a platform for two distinct artistic voices whose work engages deeply with questions of heritage, the fantastical, and the political.
Among the featured works is Te llevaré en mi manta, nieta by Violeta Quispe, a symbol-laden piece that honors intergenerational bonds and Andean tradition. Ivana de Vivanco’s contributions, in contrast, deliver sharp, satirical takes on power and history, offering a provocative counterbalance that enhances the dialogue between the two artistic languages.
Cuentos para no dormir opens a space where the personal meets the collective, and the ancestral converses with the contemporary. It is also a reflection of IESA Arts & Culture’s commitment to hands-on learning and international collaboration in curatorial education.
