Kunsthaus Zürich presents a major retrospective of Lygia Clark, in collaboration with the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin. With around 120 artworks, the show will present her oeuvre from the 1950s to the 1980s, ranging from geometric-abstract paintings to participatory sculptures and performances. Curated by Cathérine Hug, this touring exhibition marks Clark’s first in Switzerland.
This show follows Clark’s first major UK survey at Whitechapel Gallery 2024-2025. Visitors will be invited to interact with the artworks on display and take part in workshops and group performances to fully engage in Clark’s participatory approach. The exhibition is accompanied by a bilingual exhibition catalogue, the first German-language publication on Lygia Clark.
