From February 20 to May 31, 2026, the Palacio de Liria presents an exhibition of recent works by José María Sicilia, including several pieces conceived specifically for the historic rooms of the palace.
The exhibition establishes a dialogue between Sicilia’s practice and the architectural and historical legacy of the site. Engaging with memory, biography, and the passage of time, the works invite visitors to experience a space where past, present, and future intersect.
Among the works on view is Cuando me abrazas (2022–2025), reflecting the artist’s ongoing exploration of transformation, perception, and intimacy.
