Lygia Clark in Inside Other Spaces

at Leeum Museum of Art, Korea

We are pleased to announce that Lygia Clark's A casa é o corpo. Penetração, ovulação, germinação, expulsão (1968) is on view at Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul, as part of the group exhibition Inside Other Spaces: Environments by Women Artists 1956–1976.

Curated by Andrea Lissoni (Artistic Director, Haus der Kunst Munich), Marina Pugliese (Director, MUDEC Milan), Sungwon Kim (Deputy Director and Chief Curator, Leeum Museum of Art) and Eunjung EJ Cho (Curator, Leeum Museum of Art), the exhibition brings together eleven pioneering women artists from Asia, Europe and the Americas — including Judy Chicago, Marta Minujín, Tania Mouraud and Nanda Vigo — who reimagined the artwork as an environment to be entered, walked through and felt with the whole body. First conceived at Haus der Kunst, Munich in 2023, the exhibition subsequently traveled to MAXXI in Rome and M+ in Hong Kong, with the Seoul presentation — expanded to include additional Korean and Asian artists — marking its most comprehensive iteration to date.
