Elias Crespin in ÉCHO ‘RÉVOLUTION XENAKIS’

at CITÉ DE LA MUSIQUE, PARIS

From 10 Feb Until 26 July 2022

In echo to the exhibition ‘Révolution Xenakis’, the Cité de la Musique presents a display of contemporary works among its historical collections. In dialogue with the museum’s permanent pieces are presented kinetic artworks by artists from the generation of the composer, artist and architect Iannis Xenakis, and more contemporary ones.

Among the museum galleries, you will find Elias Crespin’s Plano Mousikê (2022). Specially conceived to dance above two 19th century pianos of the collection, the sculpture arouses a visual echo in resonance with the materials that compose the antique instruments on display: trumpets, flutes, cellos, violins, pianos...

With works by Peter Kassovitz, Laurent Bolognini, Ann Veronica Janssens, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jesús-Rafael Soto, François Morellet, Victor Vasarely, Nicolas Schöffer and Jacques Brissot.
