Daniel Arsham in Venice

Chiesa di Santa Caterina | April 17 – September 15 2024

On the occasion of the 60th Venice Biennale, represented artist Daniel Arsham presents 'Venice 3024', taking place at Chiesa di Santa Caterina and featuring one artwork by Baró Galeria: 'Bronze Eroded Split Head'.

The exhibition, on view until September 15, includes sculptures casted using molds of classical works from the The Louvre archive and monumental paintings alongside new large scale bronze sculptures "which combine the past and the future", including the two-and-a-half-meter-high 'Bronze Eroded Split Head'.

Daniel Arsham, an acclaimed artist in the realm of contemporary art, is renowned for his skillful transformation of cultural artifacts into subtly weathered objects. His artistic approach beautifully intertwines elements of the past, present, and future, evoking a profound sense of nostalgia.

The show, presented by Perrotin, has been made in collaboration with Ronald Harrar.
