Amparo Sard Spain, b. 1973
-
OverviewAmparo Sard's initial works were small pierced pieces of paper. Self-portraits in surrealistic conditions in which she expressed herself with a very personal language and technique. She continued to evolve her research by enlarging papers and creating massive white fiberglass installations or aluminum sculptures. Today Sard uses all kinds of materials: resin paints, polyurethane, videos, and recently recycled plastic. She is also involved in planet protection and tries to raise awareness. In her work, the color white represents what we see with the naked eye, linear reading of our surroundings.
