Lygia Clark in Geschwister – super & nervig

at KinderKunstLabor, Austria

We are pleased to announce that Lygia Clark's Máscaras Sensoriais (1967) is on view for the first time in Austria, at KinderKunstLabor in St. Pölten, as part of the group exhibition Geschwister – super & nervig ("Siblings – awesome & annoying").

Curated by Mona Jas in dialogue with children from the Kunstideenwerkstatt and the Children's Advisory Board, the exhibition brings together nineteen international artists exploring what siblinghood and childhood mean today. Clark's ensemble of sensorial masks — lent by the Associação Cultural O Mundo de Lygia Clark — exemplifies the participatory logic at the heart of the artist's practice: works that are only completed through the direct engagement of the viewer.
